We’ve put together a comprehensive guide of the best travel routes and general information to help you plan your visit.

Registration will open from 8:00am, so we recommend keeping an eye on live traffic and public transport updates (as we appreciate that there may be some delays) in order to ensure you arrive before the Chairs’ opening address at 8:45am.

Walking directions from DLR and Underground Stations:

The closest stations to the venue are the South Quay DLR or Canary Wharf underground station, you can find directions to Canary Wharf from any central location here.

From South Quay DLR (travelling from Bank/Stratford)

Just a 2 minutes’ walk. When travelling from the direction of Bank or Stratford turn right upon exiting the train (towards the front of the train). Walk down the stairs, and once on street level cross the road at the pedestrian crossing to your left. After you have crossed, turn right and then take the first left into ‘Thames Quay Estate’.

From South Quay DLR (travelling from Lewisham)

Just a 2 minutes’ walk. When travelling from the direction of Lewisham turn left upon exiting the train (towards the back of the train). Walk down the stairs, and once on the street level cross the road at the pedestrian crossing to your left. After you have crossed, turn right and then take the first left into ‘Thames Quay Estate’.

Underground / Tube

An 8 minute walk from Canary Wharf tube station. When travelling eastbound on the Jubilee Line (from the direction of London Bridge) turn right upon exiting the train (towards the back of the train) and go to the furthest escalator. Once on the upper level, walk through the ticket barriers and up the far escalator to the open air concourse. Take a left and in front of you will be Jubilee Place (which has Obica Mozzarella Bar inside), walk through this building and out the other side where you will find a footbridge.
Then, cross the footbridge and turn left along the footpath next to the waterfront. Take a right after Havez Restaurant and walk as far as you can towards the road. Then take a left onto Marsh Wall (you will pass a Subway and a Tesco Express on your left). Keep walking until you’re across the water. Then take the first left into ‘Thames Quay Estate’.

 

Best routes to the venue by train:

London Victoria to Canary Wharf underground station:

  • Take the District line or Circle line to Westminster
  • Change at Westminster Underground Station
  • Take the Jubilee line to Canary Wharf station

London Bridge to Canary Wharf:

  • Take the Jubilee line to Canary Wharf

 

London City Airport

There’s a train from London City Airport DLR every 8 to 15 minutes which takes 20 minutes to South Quay DLR. You can then follow the directions from South Quay DLR outlined above.

 

On the Bus

The D8 regularly runs from Stratford to South Quay Station in each direction, either towards Canary Wharf or Crossharbour. For other local buses that run to or near the venue, visit tfl.gov.uk here.

 

Plane

London City Airport is by far the nearest airport with just a 10 minute taxi ride away, whereas Stansted Airport, Gatwick Airport or Heathrow Airport will require additional journey time of at least 45 minutes. Walk and Bike

There are plenty of pedestrian cycle routes in London and Canary Wharf, for instance London Cycle Network follows a signed route along the river to Canary Riverside and Riverside South which has links to Limehouse via the Thames Path. For the cycle path route and more details, visit this page.
